We absolutely love it here! Henry the owner is very sweet and the food is sooo delicious! The Vietnamese spring rolls and the deep fried wontons are to die for! My hubby and I love coming here for some great food! And the special iced tea they serve is unlike any other! The vermicelli bowls are another favorite of ours! Also their special iced coffee is very interesting and tasty!
The noodle bowl my friends had was very good, and the curry I had was delicious! Everyone agreed it was one of the best they'd had. The service was good and the feel of the restaurant was exactly what you would expect.
Sincerely and honestly AWESOME STAFF!!!!!! GREAT FLAVOURFUL FOOD!Drove from Vancouver after doing CastFunPark and saw this place. Checked the reviews and i'm so glad we came to this place.Small place but clean. Cutleries and utensils are clean too. Washroom is clean but you can see the building is old, but still good. You have to lock it even if it has a stall type of washroom good for 2 people. Lock is old school where you lift the metal handle. Has soap and tissues.Food was awesome!!! I have been to lots of these restaurants, some have mix of Vietnamese and Indian, Chinese, Filipino, Mediterranean, European, etc... So far this place has offered a good portion of food for the hearty eater. We got the vegetable soup and it was good for the rain. It has that sour taste that's good for your throat that Thai places make. You know it's not the water-only broth. The curry was thick and flavourfu, not as oily as Indian food and not as strong that it sticks to your clothes. We ordered more than that but it's all consistently good and nothing was just made out of the can, it seems. They even put on their menu 'made with real vegetables'. We laughed at it BUT WE ARE BELIEVERS NOW.Staff were very very very helpful. They kept on considering us if we were ok with cutleries, food, napkins...etc. They treated us like we mattered and did not give us any SASSY REMARKS when we asked lots of vegetarian questions. They were patient. The owners were also nice when we paid. We all chitchatted with them about their fish in the tank. He said it was a Lohan, aka Flower Horn fish. I thought it was the Sun fish and we talked about the famous Arwana fish too! Asked my friends what they thought about the food and unanimously they said it is good. Dare I say better than the Vancouver Vietnamese restaurants we have been consistently going to.Considering they have been around since 1995, they really kept the place classy with the lights low and the decor minimal. -1 just because the washroom was confusing but they already dealt with that issue. that's about it!+1 because they were really the star. STORY TIME:Last is my story of how I forgot my small sack bag. Had an awesome time eating at New Saigon and when we arrived home in Vancouver I remembered I left my bag there at the back of my seat :( . So we quickly left a bunch of nervous voice messages. Also, contacted their facebook, pm'ed them and true enough they replied with in 1day!!! They had it but i was still freaking out because I had all of my important IDs and $ there. So basically I could not drive back. So my fiance had to drive all the way back and they actually held on to it while I was frantic about the whole situation.
Great food, friendly staff. They took their time to help us chooser some kid- friendly options. Great food and super- clean place
Henry is a really nice guy! The food is great. The iced tea is amazing. I absolutely love coming here!
