BED BUGS!!!MINUS 100 Stars! DO NOT EVEN THINK ABOUT BOOKING HERE! I was in the room for less than 30 seconds; pulled back the corner of the sheet and found 2 very much alive and healthy bed bugs in a fold. Rank! I showed the front desk and she hand nothing to say other then "Oh".... The place is shifty looking in general I can't say I'm surprised... Calling public health on them when I get back from my trip. Stay away I hope corporate is looking at this and pulls their franchise...

It's basic but clean. All on 2nd floor and no elevator. Good breakfast from 6-9 am. Parking next door is free. Only an hour from YVR and close to Hwy 1.

The staff don't have any clue about any questions you have... They don't know when the breakfast ends or starts... They don't know why they say they do laundry but don't do laundry... The breakfast is really half assed... And the internet is so bad it doesn't really exist. There was old popcorn under the bed. And we had to have a microwave delivered since they said we were getting one and didn't have one. The only place to put it was the bedside table... This place is just bad.

Room 111. Front desk person was the only wonderful portion of our stay. Room was sub par. Missing lampshades, Sour milk in coffee maker. Room was not made up, just the top sheet was thrown over the bed. Used towels required changing. Maintenance of building was poor as well upkeep. Bed throw was definitely used to soak up paint.

We checked into this hotel because it was the closest hotel to our concert, the rates were comparable to other properties near by but this was the closest hotel. We realize it is not a 5 star hotel, we just needed somewhere to sleep after our concert for a few hours and picked this hotel for convenience. When reading reviews there werent major issues or any indication of bed bugs. When we came back from our concert we laid on the bed and my partner noticed three bugs to the right of him on his pillow. We inspected them immediately and realized they are bed bugs. We called the night audit and he offered to move us to another room. I mentioned to him it would be an issue for them as wed be taking them to another room. When I went into the second room, it didnt look very clean and I didnt feel comfortable enough to stay. We left all our luggage behind as it had been contaminated, we called every hotel to find another room - the next place we could stay was the quality inn which was a $60 cab fare away and a rate increase. We had none of our things. In the morning we went back to gather our things and get garbage bags to bag our stuff. The manager/owner came up and just kept saying they do not have bed bugs as I handed her a bed bug I captured in a bag. We showed her photos of the bed bugs as well and she kept saying everything is new we dont have bed bugs. Didnt offer an apology, didnt offer to help us with our bags and made it seem as though we were the ones who brought the bed bugs. When we got home it took 5-6 hours to wash/ heat all of our items and then we were paranoid we still missed something and brought them into our home. I called the Travelodge customer complaint line and put in a complaint. They told me they would get back to me within 7 business days. As they didnt reach out, I phoned them to see if theyve reviewed the file. The account supervisor Jessica (said its against policy to give a last name) said that the hotel told the complaint department they didnt have bed bugs. Even though I had sent photos of the evidence of bed bugs in our room. She was a very rude woman, didnt offer an apology either and said I got my refund for the night what more could I want. Then she told me that I should read the reviews better next time because there is a review saying there are bed bugs at this property and I should have booked somewhere else. She told me to read the reviews better next time.When I read the reviews there was no indication of bed bugs. I booked Travelodge because I thought they would be a safer option than a cheap motel. It was priced the same as other hotels in the area, if it were a cheaper price I would have thought twice about booking. I will never stay at a Travelodge again and I will make sure to tell everyone I know that this company doesnt have any standards.
