Do your child a favour and dont send them to MEI, unless you want your child to be completely sheltered from the real world and full of themselves :)
I truly enjoy teaching at MEI. Our students are awesome, and it's such a privilege to be a part of their lives. I love to be able to discuss challenging topics of faith and life openly with students.
I went to many schools but MEI was the best by far! The teachers really care about the students and the quality of education is much better than the other schools I went to. Overall the students here are great and were accepting of any newcomers. Loved my time here!
Teachers are often bias. Some teachers cannot admit they are secretly racist. Some are not open minded, but perhaps this can all change. Student body is friendlier than other schools; however some grades cannot reach maturity expectations. Safe clean environment, friendly staff, and great values. M.E.I. Is a delightful experience.
Christian or not, MEI is a quality educational experience. You recieve a true effort to teach from the staff, a quality I find lacking in the public school system. Courses are more thought-provoking than a simple worsheet put in your face, especially with Honors English, Missions, and World Religions courses. The student support and special ed programs are very strong, making sure nobody's questions have to go unanswered and students don't struggle to (quite) the point of insanity. However, nothing is perfect. Classroom discussions can be inaccessible for people unfamiliar with Biblical teachings. Staff can be somewhat biased in their views on things, stifling debate at times. People from non-religious backgrounds or less financially viable families (such as myself) may feel frustrated with the general attitude of the student body. Nonetheless, MEI is an experience unlike any other, and will certainly challenge your way of thinking.
