Excellent place to cool off with the dogs! There is an unfenced off leash area in the north west corner. Everyone is relaxed and easy to get along with. There is more goose poop than dog poop. This is a manmade "lake" which is also used for water skiing practise on specified days. There is a walking/jogging path around the small lake and floating dock opposite end from dog area for kids. Parking is usually difficult... You might get lucky but plan for a walk from the road.
Albert Dyck Park is the place to be when the sun is out. There is lots of parking, a boat launch, dog friendly beach area and plenty of room to play your favourite beach sports. The water is a great place to relax and refresh, and more often then not, everyone is respectful and ready for a good time.
With young kids, having a lake within 10 minutes from our house is a huge selling point with this beach. It gets pretty crowded, and the out-houses are a fair distance from the swimming area, but it's water, and nice sand! Plus the pull-wakeboarding park is fun to watch!
Convenient location with lovely water. The wakeboard club hold competitions here, which can be entertaining. Volleyball nets, a separate area for dogs, and a dock for fishing are all nice. More parking would be a bonus!
Calm, beautiful lake with sandy shores for kids to play on. Clear water for swimming. An excellent place for a sunny day with the family or friends.
