We have been visiting this location for more than a decade for our timekeeping needs. Whether we were purchasing a timepiece or having service completed on such it has always a positive experience. We have never hesitated in recommending Time Master to anyone we know.

So I went into Time Master for a simple gasket change on my watch (seconds of work for someone trained I'm sure!). While I was handing my watch over to the lady at the till another customer entered the store, approached the display, and waited for a moment till (who I can only assume was the 'watchmaker' smith?),came out personally, greeted him, and took his time piece. Given that I was there firstand my service request was so minimal, I figured it would only take a few minutes at max. Wrong. I was told to come back in 20 minutes because taking a clasp off is "time consuming".Ok, fine. After 15 minutes which I thought was a gratuitous amount of time for such a simple task I returned. Still not done, "he's working on the other guys watch"...ok.....I was first but also, told 20 after all. Leave and return after 5...again not finished...didn't seem to care, just a lazy rolling of the eyes. For a company called Time Master they don't seem to take their customers time very seriously... or maybe it's because they just enyoy taking their time!? Either-or..disappointed and won't be going back.Also just took my watch and left. I'll get professionals to do it, which was claimed when I first entered.
I brought in a pair of solitary diamond studs that were a family heirloom as I had noticed that one of the stone settings appeared damaged and needed to be repaired. I took them into the store fully expecting a large fee to clean and repair them. I was greeted by a very helpful woman who did a preliminary look under a video magnifier (I got to watch), she agreed that one diamond was crooked in the setting and asked if I could wait a few minutes to have the jeweler look it over. After he'd looked it over I was told it only needed an adjustment. They did that for me immediately, then cleaned them up and in less than 15 minutes me I had them back and was told "our pleasure, no charge"! What great service!
Needed a new battery for our thermometer to keep track of the fever of a very sick person in our family. The lady told me to leave the thermometer and then they would replace the battery and I could pick it up the next day. When I told her that I only needed the battery she said they dont sell batteries, only the overnight-service, which would be $16.00 + tax. I said that Id replace the battery myself, but she wouldnt budge.Then I told her that we needed this urgently to monitor the fever of a family member and she finally agreed to sell me a battery for $16.00 + tax. I said I didnt want to buy the over-night replacement service, just the battery, but no luck. So I left and said Ill look elsewhere first. I finally found my battery at the Superstore for $4.77 + tax. Time Master Jewellers would have charged me *over 200% more!* I dont think Ill go there again, and Im certainly never going to buy any watch or jewelry at a store where I feel that they are taking advantage of me.But here is a bit of free advice to the storeowner on how to do good business and win customers. Not too long ago I needed a tire rotation on my car so I brought it to Curtis Tire & Wheel. They swapped my tires immediately and I paid much less than at other places! Well guess where I am going to buy my next new set of tires.For Time Master Jewellers I am not expecting a free battery but I do expect them to accommodate me as a customer and not try to milk me for everything I've got. I would then be inclined to also come back for larger items.___________REPLY TO OWNER'S RESPONSE:I appreciate your kind reply, which does help to think more positively of your store. Unfortunately, however, your answer confirms my experience in the store, which is that you are trying to sell me something that I don't want. When you say in your reply about your batteries, "... we insist on installing them, ..." Then that is what makes me walk away. Not only because I am very well capable of installing the battery myself (which I have done many times in the past) - but also because its really up to me what I want to do with a battery that I were to buy at your store. But I also understand that you need to make ends meet - so I wish you luck with your business. I'm sure there are plenty of other customers out there who don't mind having to buy a mandatory battery-changing-service at several times the price of the actual battery itself. - I'm just not one of them.
