Went in to discuss my insurance situation today. Meh.Place looks like garbage. Dark and dreary. No place to discuss anything privately. Kinda reminds me of a mortuary. Front desk fellow is not familiar with ICBC renewal procedures for remote locations. Had I taken his advice, it would have been a very long time before I drove my car again.Not horrible if your requirements are simple. But if you have a more complicated situation, go elsewhere. Overall, there are nicer places that really want your business.One star for easy parking behind the building.Another star for convenient location.
I was super happy with our recent service at Saxbee. I'd spent a week or two going to different insurance places to renew our home insurance. Being a new home owner (one year) it was a daunting experience for the most part. I didn't really know how to decide.. how do you get to know all these different legal contracts?Luckily, I was helped by Laura. She was patient and kind and funny, lightened the whole mood. She took the time to answer my questions. When she had questions I didn't know how to answer she helped describe what the question meant and I didn't feel judged for being inexperienced (no, I don't know the HVAC system intimately or know what kind of supports are under the deck, haha). When deciding between different levels of coverage she also gave me "for instance examples"... "For instance if there were a fire, with regular coverage this would happen, with additional coverage this would happen" which really helped me weigh the cost - is extra coverage worth it? I felt like I actually had some control in deciding what was important to ME, rather than just blindly going with a random plan and hoping for the best.Of the five or six insurance places I went to, I didn't end up going with the cheapest coverage but it also was far from the most expensive. While Laura's professional service made me most comfortable with her, we ultimately decided to insure with Saxbee because she was able to offer us the best "price to coverage" ratio. I feel like we have adequate coverage, not too much or too little, and yes insurance is expensive but I don't feel totally ripped off. In the end you really don't know what coverage is like until you have the unfortunate experience of making a claim, but for now I feel confident that Laura helped me make an educated decision at the time.
The staff here is consistently excellent and I have to say, tonight Jason was incredibly kind, efficient and thorough. My husband and I accidentally came right at close (I checked the wrong insurance office hours before coming otherwise I would not have stopped by so late), but Jason was so friendly and helpful, regardless of the fact that we were there after close. In fact, I had no idea it was closing until after we left. In no way did I feel rushed or like I wasn't valued as a customer. Thank you so much for the amazing service and for being so kind. I always recommend Saxbee Insurance and will absolutely continue to do so.
