This is my favourite hardware store in Abbotsford. Unlike the big box stores, It is a real lumber yard stocked with a full selection of building materials. The tool selection inside is fantastic with great prices and the people working there are generally very knowledgeable and friendly. I would give 5 stars if they were open Sundays.
Knowledgeable staff, good variety of stock for the builder and better price and selection on Mouldings and Lumber. Skip the Orange and Blue box stores. Just wish they were open on Sunday.
The staff really makes the difference between here and big box stores: Being able to find someone when you have a question; getting a friendly & knowledgeable response when you are puzzled; having help when loading lumber - it really is a much better experience than all the shopping I've done at HD or Lowe's.While I still go to the other stores sometimes depending on what I'm looking for, Blackwood's selection is great! They often carry unique brands or items I can't find elsewhere.
They have great, friendly, knowledgeable service. For lumber, you can't beat their prices or selection in Abbotsford.
Good store we'll laid out. Can be pricey for some things. But if something is on sale it's usually a super good deal.
