Going through a lot of the reviews before I made the 45 minutes drive here, I was a little worried it would be a bad experience but it wasnt. I have never been her before and I brought some clothes and was informed very thourohghly of how it works and I found lots of good stuff that I needed for very cheap was very happy about my expierence! I will come back for sure
I've always been a giant fan of thrift stores. I love finding all the in clothing trends and with Plato's closet you can do that, minus the expensive price tag! I used to go to value village but now Plato's Closet is my go to. I never leave without something. Reasonable prices, nice staff, and easy to sell your clothes to. Love this place :)
I recently went in to sell some clothes and look around. I love the layout of the store, tons of great stuff and their prices are genuinely good. However, my experience with selling was not so great. I approached the counter and the girl helping me basically recited a speech about what they do- not allowing me a word in edgewise as I had some questions (it was my first time in the store). Their assessment of my items was quick and they bought about a 1/3 of what I brought in- however again I was given a script of why they didn't buy some of my things. It just came off as so- brusque. I have worked retail and I get that it can be busy, but I was there mid morning and it wasn't really busy. One suggestion I have would maybe have the option to be present when they go through your clothes- then they can explain why they aren't buying it. That way the person knows for next time! I just felt like I was in the dark.
Went to sell some clothes a couple days ago, barely took anything and was told its because it was outdated or poor quality. Everything was bought within the last year, still in excellent condition and five items still had the original tag attached. I've seen items for sale in the store with holes and stains. Biggest waste of time.
Great quailty clothes and good prices. The staff are helpful and stay busy.
