Staff picks section is always awesome. Place somehow avoids the musty smell that some used book stores develop. This place is top knotch.
Came in to look for books. While my girlfriend looked I sat to read a book. The cat (Gatsby) jumped on my lap and sat there for about 10-15 minutes. Didn't get to read the book but I got to pet the cat. 10/10 would come back.Plus they donated to charity with my purchase.
A very clean and lovely establishment to find any genre of book. They also have a cat roaming the bookshelves looking to assist any customer in need of a helpful paw. Probably ask the helpful staff for recommendations as the cat doesn't speak the best English at the moment. Come to think of it, I think the cat might be illiterate. Other then that, the business also donated money to noteworthy charities so there really isn't any reason not to shop here!
Great staff, very friendly and helpful. When they didnt have what I wanted in stock they ordered it from their larger location and it was there the following morning. Lots of cool finds there as well. And a friendly old cat. Would recommend to anyone.
I need to be kept on a leash when I am in The Book Man. Always a great selection and staff have been helpful in finding less common books for me.
